Stand-Up Comedy Fundamentals

The Stand-Up Comedy Fundamentals class introduces students to the foundational skills needed to build out a 5-minute Open Mic Night set. Our Fundamentals class is often referred to as "The Comedy Nerd's Guide to Stand-Up", because we spend time zooming into How and Why something if funny, not just the If. Through discussions, examples, and practice, students will explore the skills and concepts needed to write jokes, build out content, workshop jokes, and perform in a way that ties everything together for a more crafted set.

Join our next class so you can explore the building blocks of Stand-Up Comedy, and get a good system for building out sets, so that your Open Mic Nights won't be painful or awkward, but more practiced, prepared, and professional.
