Intermediate Stand-Up Comedy II: Dynamic Performances

At this point in the journey, you know how to write effective jokes, how to write out an Open Mic Night set, and you're probably at least dabbling in longer sets as well, but how can you make sure that people enjoy your actual performance overall? After all, if someone has great content but a bad performance, it's not any easier to watch than someone who's charismatic and confident but has lousy material.

This course specifically zooms into the Performance element, highlighting how you can bring your Content to Life, how you can be more Entertaining as a Stand-Up Comedian, and what adjustments you can make to be more Memorable. We'll also zoom into ways to help you book more events, how to grow from a Performer to a Brand, and how to Market yourself and your Comedy. This class is perfect for people to want to polish their performances and/or performers who want to learn more of the Business side of Comedy.

Who's this Class for?

People who have either taken a Stand-Up Fundamentals-like course before, or have a lot of experience with Open Mic Nights and/or performing short sets
Performers who are going from Open Mic Nights to paid gigs or sets that require quality 8-15 minute sets
Students of Stand-Up Comedy who want to learn how to refine existing content to build out more content that stays consistent with who they are as a Performer
People who want to learn how to tell better stories, so that the punchline at the end isn't the only "good" part
Anyone in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Knightdale, or any other areas surrounding RDU that want to take their Stand-Up Performances to the next level!

Logistics:

This is a 6-week course with each session being 2 hours
